You
remember the shots of the Treo 800w which
leaked last week? Another week, another Palm leak and this time it's - what
The Boy Genius Report calls - the Palm Treo 850. While officially not too
much is known about the Treo 850, we have heard that it might be Palm's
"Skywriter". The Boy Genius Report has heard that it will feature a 400 MHz CPU
and 100 MB of RAM. According to the::unwired information, the Palm Treo 850 is
expected to feature quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as triband UMTS/HSDPA, Bluetooth,
WiFi and GPS (while neither WiFi or GPS are yet confirmed). Furthermore, as you can
see on the photo bellow, the Treo 800w is running Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.1
Professional smartphone OS:

A release date or possible price isn't known yet but a release in Europe can
be expected,
most likely from Vodafone (where it is rumored to be code-named "Drucker").
UPDATE: We've just received trustworthy information that the Treo 850
indeed features WiFi as well as GPS. Looks like Palm is back to the
Windows Mobile game, if you like QWERTY-keyboard devices.
Cheers ~ Arne
